This morning I was on Causes doing a petition. They suggested I use a tool to verify that I was a registered voter to increase my influence. I did so and it led me to a website Brigade.com. This site allows potential voters to study issues and vote on them, and eventually vote on candidates. Currently under 7000 users have split 61% Trump to 37% Hillary. It appears that the site has been in use in the current form for about 2 weeks, but it has clearly been highly utilized by the right.
I’m doing this short diary to bring attention to this and to suggest that the left needs to get involved on this site so that it gets more balanced. There is also a Facebook Page and a review of that suggests that the founders of this site intend it to be a useful tool for voters and to accurately reflect the electorate, but it is clearly not that right now. Perhaps that is because they have publicized it more on conservative media (business sites, etc).
There appears to be a tendency for users to frame their issue statements so as to confuse users. I suspect that Kossacks probably don’t need a warning about that, but just in case . . . Pay attention!
